If you want to make money on line, your ad starts with a killer headline. The headline is the most powerful line in your ad copy. You have less than a second to get someone to decide whether they are going to read your ad, or click the x box or the back button.
People on the internet are even harder to get to stay put. We are in a generation of surfers and scanners. We surf the net, and scan things before we stop. With so much information out there, you need to make sure that you write your headline with the idea that you are going to stop the person in their tracks! Catch them off guard.
It does not matter how great your product is, or how well you wrote the body of the ad, if you have a dud headline, your choice to make money on line is going to be a tough one to make work.
Here are 3 proven ways to make money on line by writing a killer headline:
1. Use the word "Wanted" in your headline. Everyone wants to know what is wanted. It captures their attention, gets their curiosity going. Example: "WANTED: 2 people who are hungry to make more money on line than Bill Gates!"
2. Use the word "Warning" in your headline. The word warning alerts people senses. It sends alarm bells ringing. It is part of the fight or flight reflex. Think of how you feel when you think the word in your head.
Example: "WARNING: Reading the rest of the ad may result in permanent wealth"
3. Use the word "Why" in your headline. Again, everyone wants to know why. We all want to know the reason, for what ever reason. Remember when you were 2? It's amazing that your parents didn't kill you! Example: "Why did this 28 year old kid quit college and buy a Rolls?"

There are people get paid just to figure out what those little headlines are going to be. You can learn a lot from a cover of Cosmo!
