How to Buy a New Set of Golf Clubs
If you are just getting into the wonderful game of golf, buying a set of clubs can be a very daunting task. With so many different manufacturers all producing dozens of sets of golf clubs there can be a dizzying array of choices you have to weed through in order to come to a decision, but hopefully this guide can help you narrow down your choices and get the best deal.
Research Golf Clubs Online
One of the best things you can do before ever stepping into a store to buy golf clubs is to scour the internet. There are thousands of reviews online by players of all handicaps that can help you narrow down the clubs you might be interested in. One of the best resources to use is Golf Digest's annual Hot List. Every year, their panel of reviewers handles all of the newest offerings from the major manufacturers (Callaway, Taylormade, Nike, Ping, Cobra, Titlist, etc.) and reviews them based on performance, innovation, look/sound/feel, and demand. They then group the best clubs into gold and silver categories, while pointing out the individual leaders in each of the four review categories. Furthermore, they will often break down the clubs into price ranges or skill levels (super game improvement, game improvement, players clubs). This way you can make sure you are looking at the clubs that are right for your price range or skill level. Golf Digest is one of the most respected golf publications out there (Tiger Woods writes articles for them), so you can trust them when a clubs earns a gold that it is an excellent club.
There are many smaller manufacturers that you may have seen that don't appear on the Golf Digest list. While these brands are often cheaper than the brands that appear on the list, you usually get what you pay for. The manufacturers on the Golf Digest Hot List represent the upper echelon in terms of quality. If you want your clubs to last for several years and still have some resale value when you go to upgrade again, try to stick with the manufacturers on the Golf Digest Host List. If you want some proof about the quality of some of the smaller manufacturers, take a look at their drivers. Quite often you'll be able to find one or two manufacturers that are blatantly copying the styling of a Taylormade or Callaway driver. If they had actually put the time and effort into creating a quality golf club they would have taken the time to come up with unique styling of their own.
Once you've picked out a couple sets of golf clubs, it's time to take a look at them in person.
Where to Buy Golf Clubs
First of all, most importantly,NEVER BUY CLUBS OFF OF EBAY. It doesn't matter how good of a deal or how legit the pictures or store looks. More often then not you will be getting a fake club. Just like you can buy a fake Rolex or Louis Vuitton bag, you can buy a fake set of Callaway FT-Ibrid irons. The problem is that while a Rolex or Louis Vuitton bag might not see very strenuous use, a golf club undergoes a ton of abuse. Fake golf clubs are usually very very close representations of the original clubs, and it is very hard for an untrained eye to spot the differences. You are better off buying your clubs from a reputable golf equipment retailer than taking the risk just to save a few bucks.
Second, do not buy clubs from places that you cannot test them out at. This includes most big box department stores and even many general sports equipment stores. Reviews from the web are a great way to narrow down the clubs you would like to look at, but you should never choose a set of clubs without hitting them a couple dozen times before that. No number of reviews can replace the experience of actually hitting a 7 iron from each of the sets you are looking at. Each club will sound different, weigh different, look different, swing different and play different. Personal preference will play the most significant role in making a decision on which set of golf clubs to buy. Without the ability to try at least a club from each set, how can you be sure that you are going to get on the course and love the clubs you purchased.
Another reason to not buy from big box stores is quality, both in the quality of the products they carry and the quality of the knowledge the staff might be dispensing. For the most part these stores realize that they are catering to the person who golfs 2-3 times a year, is looking for what they consider a great deal on their clubs, and doesn't have a great deal of product knowledge. For this reason they usually stock golf clubs made by lower quality manufacturers so that they can keep their price points under a certain value. Also, some stores will stock old model clubs from quality brands, and mark them up higher than they can be found anywhere else. This is to sucker in people who might have seen or heard of a brand name, so they buy the club thinking they got a good deal, when really they just overpaid for a club that is 3-4 years old. Just in the last year, I have seen a Taylormade R5 Draw driver for $175 at a general sports equipment store, where at Golf Town they could have sold me the club for $50.
The knowledge of the person helping you is also very important for somebody who might not know a great deal about golf clubs. The staff working at golf specialty stores are usually highly trained people who love the game of golf. They know the highest quality brands, which features set each club apart and can help walk you through every step of the buying process. You simply won't get this level of knowledge from a store that doesn't specialize in golf equipment. Many golf specialty stores also offer lots of freebies that a department store cannot match like free club fittings, simulators to test out your clubs, and a workshop to alter your clubs in any way you might need. These golf specialty stores also work directly with the different manufactures to provide deals and specials that you can't receive anywhere else.
Golf specialty stores are easily the best place to purchase your new set of clubs. While you might think a specialty retailer is going to cost you more, they will usually carry clubs for every price range, so there is really no reason to go anywhere else
Purchasing your new Golf Clubs
Golf Manufacturers will usually come out with new clubs just before the start of the season (March, April, May). This is the worst time to buy the latest and greatest new clubs from each manufacturer. Prices on clubs will always drop over time, so there's simply no reason to buy a driver for $450 when it could drop as low as $200 by the end of the season. Fortunately, just before the start of the golf season is the best time to buy last years clubs. The stores want these clubs gone to make room for this year's clubs, so most of the clubs will have seen a dramatic price reduction from where they started. Drivers will often see the largest drops, sometimes close to 50%. Fairway woods and hybrid clubs usually see some pretty steep discounts as well, but not as steep as drivers. Iron sets, depending on the manufacturer, will usually see a price drop around 25%. Some manufacturers will only release 1 or 2 new sets of irons a year, and if those sets aren't meant to replace an older set, you probably won't see a price reduction. Wedges and putters take a long time to see a discount because the technology and designs don't alter much year to year.
One of the great things about golf specialty stores is that you might be able to haggle a deal. While this means you will usually be able to get a bit more for your money, just because a club will cost $150 less in 4 months doesn't mean you can get that price now. The markup on golf clubs is surprisingly low, so be happy if you can haggle $20 off your $500 set. The best thing to do is ask for some free or discounted accessories to go with your new purchase. The sales person will have a much easier time getting you $40 off a matching bag or throwing in a dozen balls then taking a chunk off the price of the actual clubs. The sales people are there to get you to walk out with a set of clubs, and will do what they can to get you to spend your money, but the store needs to make money as well. Be polite and just ask them what they can do to make the deal a little bit sweeter, and more often than not you will get some extra little goodies. Constantly pressuring the sales person to lower the price and throw in more and more discounted stuff will not get you as far as you might think(You catch more flies with honey).
You Have a Set of Clubs, Now What?
So you've tested out the clubs on your list, picked the one you like the best, got some free extras. Is there anything else you should do before hitting the course? Unfortunately, yes there is. Most manufacturers offer warranties on their clubs, so it is important to check their website to find out exactly what their warranty covers. Many of the websites will actually allow you to register the serial numbers of your clubs, and some might require this to handle any possible warranty work. Taking the 10 minutes to register your clubs could save you some trouble down the road should you have problems with your clubs.
Unfortunately, golf clubs also tend to get stolen quite a bit. Make sure to keep your receipt some place handy and at least write down your serial numbers so that should your clubs get stolen you can prove what clubs you had.
I'm a software developer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In my spare time I spend a lot of time golfing and actually work in a golf specialty store. I have a personal website (http://www.velocityraptor.com) where I have this article as well as many others written to help people find articles with information that might be otherwise hard to find.

At Last! - Someone Who Really Shows You How To Improve Your Putting!
There’s a great satisfaction in booming a drive down the middle, all the practice and effort is rewarded instantly, what a great feeling.
But what follows? Does your short game let you down, has the birdie chance turned into a bogey…or worse?
Most golfers put great effort into getting the ball off the tee and then onto the greens, by having lessons and range practice but very few give putting a second thought.
Professional spend more time honing putting skills than any other aspect of their game.
So why do amateurs rarely practice putting?
Generally they feel that there’s more benefit in other practice, after all, if they hit a wayward putt they’re never going to lose a ball on the putting surface, but on the greens is exactly where every golf match is won or lost.
Have you ever bought one of those “self assembly” pieces of furniture, maybe a small set of bedroom draws, you take all the bits out of the box have a quick glance at the instructions and think “This is easy I’ll have this done in ten minutes”, half an hour later you decide it’s time to have a proper look at those instructions, then the one piece you had the wrong way round fits into place nicely. Job done, and a nice glow of satisfaction.
The next time we do exactly the same (yes we all do it), we make a guess at what goes where and when it doesn’t quite fit we look at the instructions.
Why don’t we look at the instructions first? Because it’s human nature to look for the “short-cuts” or “quick fixes”.
Putting is exactly the same, except most golfers have never been given any instructions, they just make a guess every time.
If you want to improve your scores and start winning putting is a good place to start.
It’s worth taking a few minutes to have a look at the webpage (link below).
The page contains several impressive videos of a young emerging Tour Player.
There are videos of chipping, pitching, and some very impressive shots into a par 3 green in very windy conditions.
As you can guess from the webpage title the emphasis is on putting, with several putting videos, covering all aspects of improving putting.
The aim of the webpage is to promote an e-book written by the Tour Player.
Containing over 140 photographs the e-book covers everything from holing out to long putts, distance control, reading putts, uphill and downhill putts.
Take a quick look I’m sure you’ll be impressed.

Golf Putting Stats - Do They Really Help You?
Which Golf Stats to Collect?
We have all heard that if we want to improve our golf games, we need to be collecting our stats. You know GIR, putting, fairways, etc. I have done it for years and it does show you what area's that you need to be working and concentrating on. Most stats are good information, except one, and that is putting. I will explain why the putting stat does nothing for you, but I am going to tell you how to make a new putting stat that will help you.If you are having 9 GIR, I would think that you should be working on your irons that you are hitting into the greens. If you are hitting 4 fairways, then I would suggest that you start working on your driver some more and get that number up to 11-13 if you can. Using the above information, your putting that day is 25 putts. Can you use this putting information, I will tell you why not in just a minute. So as you can see there is a purpose for collecting your stats.
Now I do things a bit different. Not only do I collect the main stats, I also and suggest you do the same is to break them down even more. What do I mean by this? Let me show you.
More Than Just The Basic's
If I am looking for GIR, I also collect if I missed the green short, long, left and right. See how I am getting a lot more information than the basic stat of GIR. Now I can tell where I am missing the green. Pulling the shots, pushing the shots, etc. I also note what club that I hit into the green. I put all of this information into an excel program and then graph it. This is very helpful. The same thing goes for fairways. Did I miss the fairway to the left or to the right.
Again I can see what I am doing by pulling or pushing. Here is a big clue. Let's say that I am mainly missing the fairways to the left. Ok, not a big deal, but I look at the GIR and the same thing, missing to the left. I have some great data here. Is there a problem with the swing plane or something simple like alignment. But the data is telling me good information.
Drive For Show, Putt For Dough
Now there is another stat that people seem to really focus on. What is it? Putts. Now that is a big one, putts.
You always hear people talking about their putting. How many putts they had in their round. I had 35 putts. Boy I had a bad putting day today I had 40 putts. Again, this is some good information, but is it... Do you want to improve your putting, keep reading.Putting is one of those stats that can be very misleading. One day you have 26 putts and another day you have 36 putts. Not too much good information there. The information on putting can get very skewed. Why? GIR is the key.So you have that putting day, with 25 putts and you only hit 5 GIR. Sounds to me like you got up and down quite a bit that day. You were chipping the ball close, and making the short putts. Maybe they were even tap in's.
So is this putting information of 25 putts any good? Well not really. You had a bad day hitting the greens and your chipping was red hot. Well you don't have to work on your chipping, that's for sure. But you may want to work on your iron play attacking the greens. You have no way to know with this information if you need to improve your putting. I hope you see what I mean here.
The Secret to Collecting the Right Putting Stat
Here is a great putting tip and this is going to let you know if you need some putting instruction. So what putting stat is a good putting stat? Now that is the real question and I have the answer for you.
You want to count your putts on the greens that you hit in regulation. What do I mean? Let's use the above example of hitting 5 greens in regulation. Even though the GIR stat stinks and can be improved upon, you can still use it for something. However many GIR you have note how many putts you had on that hole specifically. So for example, 5 GIR and you had 11 putts. This stat is a little worse than average. If you had 9 putts, that would be much better. You had a 1 putt and the rest of the other 4 holes you two putt. Now this is a stat that you can really use and track.
In Conclusion
Number of putts on the greens in regulation.
This is really going to tell you how good you are putting. And if you are working on your putting, this stat is going to really tell you if you are improving or if you should continue to work hard on your putting. I want to say it again...Number of putts for the greens you hit in regulation. Now this number cannot be skewed. It is straight forward and can be used to evaluate how good your putting really is. So, forget about that overall putting stat.
Not any good and can be skewed. Putts/GIR that is the one you want to make sure you are tracking. 10putts/5GIR average, 8putts/5GIR you are definitely getting better.Track this stat, monitor this stat and you are going to really know how good or bad your putting really is. If you would like a copy of the stat sheet that I use, go to my website PuttLightsOut.com and send me an email and I will send it to you, free. You will also find putting tips at the site plus much more. You can then make copies of it and start tracking your stats and watch your game start to improve. For more information on this topic as well as other golf related topics visit: Putting Tips

Left-Handed Golfer Tips For a Better Game
One left handed golf tip that many lefties face, especially beginners, is to hold out for left-handed clubs. A number of beginners who are left-handed tend to borrow their friend's clubs who are usually right handed. This will make your experience on the course difficult and frustrating. It can be expensive to purchase a set of clubs, especially if you aren't sure if you're going to like the sport. But it is worth the wait to start off on the right track.
It used to be rather difficult to find left-handed clubs in stores, but that is gradually changing. It is becoming more and more common to find sets of clubs in sporting goods stores, but the selection is still nowhere near that of right-handed clubs. A tip for finding left handed golf clubs is to call ahead of time. This way you can find out if the store carries left-handed clubs and what kind of selection they offer. Many times your best bet to finding the largest selection is to go to a golf-specific store.
Another part that has been difficult for left-handed golfers is finding proper instruction to teach them how to play the game of golf. There are far more right-handed instructors and a plethora of instructional videos that are aimed at a right-handed golfer. This can be extremely difficult for left-handed golfers to learn from because they have to mirror what they see.
Fortunately, the Internet has a wide selection of instructional videos to search through. Because of this, your best bet to find instructional videos for you is online. You will find some of the best videos available for a reasonable price all online.
Left-handed instructors are starting to become more common with the rise of famous left-handed golfers recently. The most notable left-handed golfers on the PGA tour include Mike Weir and Phil Mickleson, who are two of only three lefties to win a major championship. Luckily for lefties, Mickleson has raised his total to three.
As golf continues to expand and appeal to more people, the options for left handed golfers are becoming much more diverse. Still, the best tip for left handed golfers is to look online for instructional videos and information. You will also find a large selection of golf clubs to choose from by searching online.
Knowing how to play golf like a pro means knowing what golf equipment you need and where to buy it. Visit Golfing-Proshop.com to find out about the best name brands in golfing equipment.

Ping Golf Clubs - The Power of 10
In the Fall of 2007, Ping Golf released one of their most innovative ideas in the company's history: The Ping G-10 design. The Power of 10 is changing the nature of Ping golf clubs and their capabilities for both amateur and professional golfers. The company launched the G-10 design series to help golfers improve their performance, minimize mistakes and lower their scores. Golfers can experience the G-10 design in Ping drivers, irons, fairway woods and hybrids. The innovation and customized fitting the Ping company is known for is definitely present in their G-10 series. Compared to previous Ping clubs, the new G-10 series takes technology to an entirely new level.
The Ping G-10 drivers feature many new design aspects. They have larger profiles, deeper faces and an optimized center of gravity (CG) location. It actually sits further back in the design. To maximize the ball velocity with the club, the Ping engineers increased the face height of the golf club. They then got the golf clubhead to work with the crown and sole, staying within the recommended CT limits.
In addition, the design of the shaft helps work with the driver to allow professional fitters to use the shaft and profile to properly fit a player with the most appropriate club. They increased the Moment-of-Inertia (MOI), which automatically helped the club have more consistent ball velocity. While the company reveals the changes made were small, the improvement is great. Golfers can expect to gain better speed, distance and consistency in their drives. The 460cc G10 Driver is made with a cast body and 6-4 titanium. T he Draw version is similar, but is made for right-to-left ball flight which is ideal for a golfer who tends to fade or slice the ball due to poor swing mechanics. The Draw model has an inner weight panel closer to the back, which helps the rotation of the head.
The Ping G-10 Fairway Woods are also quite innovative. They are made with a crown which intersects the sole. This immediately helps create a low profile head. When combined with the featured shallow face, there is improvement in all lies. This innovative intersection allows for the skirt-less design. This design helped Ping engineers replace the center of gravity location, in a lower location. This lower located center of gravity (CG) allows for a higher ball velocity and a reduced spin overall. The woods also feature a shallow face, which helps golfers get an increase in effective hitting. It provides much forgiveness and consistency in shots. The low edge and bounce angle also helps golfers get under the ball easier and get better performance and energy transfer.
The hybrids are quite popular within the G-10 series by Ping. Made of stainless steel, these clubs are made with sloping crowns. This was done purposely to help with higher launches. It gives a more solid feeling to mid and long irons. There are six lofts which give options of replacement from 1 iron through 6 iron and even fairway woods. Because the weight from the crown and face are combined into a weight pad, the center of gravity remains low and back. This allows for increased launch angles and reduced spins. To get higher ball velocity and consistency, Ping engineers created the hybrid with a variable face thickness design.
Ping G-10 Irons are great for golfers who need forgiveness on the course. They provide great consistency and feature low toe weighting. This weighting allows for MOI to give added consistency. The head is increased and has a new cavity shape with a wider sole. The new designs feature the center of gravity being away from the face and low in the head. This allows for higher launching and lower spinning. In the G-10 irons, Ping's engineers created an entirely new shape for the Custom Tuning Port (CTP). They did this to stabilize the hitting area. This in turn allows for more consistent ball velocity. In addition, the engineers inserted an elastomer CTP providing a more solid feel and overall sound.
The response from the worldwide tour staff at Ping golf clubs has been incredible. Chris DiMarco and US Open Champion Angel Cabrera both switched to this new driver and G-10 golf clubs almost immediately. In fact, at the Barclay's Scottish Open, Cabrera used the Ping G-10 driver and was the leader in driving distance. Of course, with the forgiving nature of the G-10 series, Ping's new series is appropriate not only for professionals but for players of all skill levels. Beginners and amateur players will see some of their lowest scores due to the innovative forgiveness in the Ping G-10 series.

Golfers - Sharpen the Short Game With This Nifty Little Trick
How often has your ball finished on the apron of the green and you are faced with a twenty yard shot to complete the hole. Question is, what club do you select to play the shot? It is just too far away to take a putter and you are reluctant to play a chip shot in case you mishit it, and throw a shot away.
Well there is a compromise which solves the problem, where you can chip and play the putter as well.
The solution is to putt using one of the short iron clubs. You can use any club, within the seven iron to pitching wedge spectrum, to play the shot. Here is the technique you need to be able to play the shot effectively.
1. Address the ball the same as you would if you were lining up a putt.
2. Use the same grip as you for your putter, but be sure to choke down on the club shaft, to allow you more control.
3. The hands should be forward of the ball at the address position, and make sure you keep them ahead as you play the shot.
4. Sweep the ball with the hands and arms, keeping the body still, just the same as you would play a long putt.
Practice this shot first before trying it for real on the golf course. It takes a while to get used to the feel of the shot, but once you have mastered it, the shot can be a great little stroke saver.
If you are serious about improving your golf swing spending more time on the fairways and less looking for your ball in the rough, find out how, by visiting: http://i-golfswingtips.blogspot.com

The Biomechanics of the Golf Swing is an Important Concept Not to Overlook
The biomechanics of the golf swing refers to your exact movements as well as your body motion you take when you swing the golf club. In order to hit the ball far and accurately, using the appropriate biomechanics is going to be essential. Once you have worked on your biomechanics you will begin to be more confident on the golf course which will enabled you to score better.
Below you will find some important tips on the biomechanics of the golf swing. By learning and implementing these golf swing body motions and concepts, you will begin to improve your golf game, which should allow you to have more fun during your next round of golf.
• You need to realize that balance is an essential part of your golf swing biomechanics. To help you achieve good balance, start with a sturdy swing foundation when you address the ball. Space your feet a little more than shoulder's width apart and let your arms hang comfortably when you are setting up to the ball. Make sure you don't reach forward towards the golf ball or have your arms too close to your body.
• You need to pay attention to your swing plane. An even swing plane that consistently follows the same arc with every swing is a key to having a good golf swing.
• Make sure to keep a consistent swing speed, which is an essential part of the biomechanics of the golf swing. This will help with your golf swing rhythm, and you should aim to have the same rhythm no matter what golf club you are using. Remember, when you increase golf swing speed you will also increase ball flight distance, but you should never swing so fast that it causes you to lose your balance.
• The biomechanics of the golf swing is determined by your body working together as a whole and it is the core of your body that will be the key in your swing movement. Your arms, wrists, shoulders, or hips are not where you should concentrate when working on your biomechanics. You should work on your core body movement and coordination of all body parts involved in your golf swing.
• Biomechanics of your golf swing will be improved if your body is in good shape. Try some exercises that are specifically designed to help a golfer tone the right areas for improving his golf game. You need to be concentrating on your flexibility and strength when participating in golf exercises. Another key to remember is to always stretch immediately before your round of golf, which can greatly improve your golf swing performance.

Make Money On Line With Internet Marketing - Killer Headlines
If you want to make money on line, your ad starts with a killer headline. The headline is the most powerful line in your ad copy. You have less than a second to get someone to decide whether they are going to read your ad, or click the x box or the back button.
People on the internet are even harder to get to stay put. We are in a generation of surfers and scanners. We surf the net, and scan things before we stop. With so much information out there, you need to make sure that you write your headline with the idea that you are going to stop the person in their tracks! Catch them off guard.
It does not matter how great your product is, or how well you wrote the body of the ad, if you have a dud headline, your choice to make money on line is going to be a tough one to make work.
Here are 3 proven ways to make money on line by writing a killer headline:
1. Use the word "Wanted" in your headline. Everyone wants to know what is wanted. It captures their attention, gets their curiosity going. Example: "WANTED: 2 people who are hungry to make more money on line than Bill Gates!"
2. Use the word "Warning" in your headline. The word warning alerts people senses. It sends alarm bells ringing. It is part of the fight or flight reflex. Think of how you feel when you think the word in your head.
Example: "WARNING: Reading the rest of the ad may result in permanent wealth"
3. Use the word "Why" in your headline. Again, everyone wants to know why. We all want to know the reason, for what ever reason. Remember when you were 2? It's amazing that your parents didn't kill you! Example: "Why did this 28 year old kid quit college and buy a Rolls?"
The internet marketer who can write good headlines is the one that is going to make the sales. Take note of the captions on magazine covers. There are people get paid just to figure out what those little headlines are going to be. You can learn a lot from a cover of Cosmo! Follow this advice and there's no way you can't make money on line!

Golf Made Simple - Best Golf Tips to Score Better and Improve Your Golf Game
Golfers are always on the lookout for tips to make their golf game better and I sure am one of them. Since this amazing game is so much fun, addicting, frustrating, and a life-long adventure, you might as well try and get better as time goes on.
We're going to provide some of our best golf tips to score better so the next time you hit the links you'll
feel more confident and ready to knock some strokes off your game.
Golf isn't an easy sport to master, but it sure is fun and the better you get the more exciting the game gets. Those of us who love the game know that the more information you have regarding the swing, course management, putting, etc. the more chance you have of playing better. That's why we will take golf tips from almost anyone who's willing to offer.
So what kind of golf tips can we offer up in this article?
Space is limited, so we'll try to focus only on those tips that are most asked for and that we deem to be the best golf tips to score better that seems to plague most golfers.
First, if you have a bad temper, you probably shouldn't take up golf. We're just kidding, really. However, golf can be a frustrating game. I'd a laid back person and have thrown my club a time or two a good 30+ yards into the woods. I've seen folks throw their clubs in the water, beat the heck out of the ground, and down right sell their entire set by the 18th hole.
Actually, golf can be good for your mental state and golf is a mental game so if you get nothing else out of this article, understand that in order to get better scoring at golf, you'll have to work on the mental aspects of the game.
You may find that you can take out your frustration on the golf course in productive ways and perhaps you can gain better control of that temper! Hey it beats a day at work doesn't it??
Since most people have trouble with their setup, our first best golf tips to score better will deal with the setup...
**Position your body so your body is parallel with the target line
**Your feet should be shoulder width apart. Sometimes for taller players, I recommend widening that stance a bit.
**Make sure the ball is in line with the club you are using. With short irons, put the ball in the center of your stance. Drivers, woods, and long irons - the ball should be at your front heal. Trouble shots will vary and that is an article in and of itself.
**Balance your weight on the balls of your feet. The key is to be comfortable because you'll be utilizing your entire body to maneuver through the line of the swing.
**Bend your knees slightly and keep your spine straight
**Another tip is to just move in a fluent motion back and forth, back and forth, letting your body move your arms
naturally through the ball.
**Keep your head stead and eye on the ball until well after you complete your follow-through swing. If you don't do this, you will have a tendency to stand up on the ball which will cause you to top the ball. Do this with all shots.
What has always worked for me is to pick a spot on the ball and don't let go. If done right the ball will go where you want so there's no need to look prematurely.
Just note that there are a lot of little tidbits to a perfect golf swing, but if you boggle your mind with all of these, you'll be sure to hit a bad shot.
Just to walk you through a golf shot. First I visualize my shot before I ever hit it. I learned this technique from the great Tony Robbins. I have hit a great golf shot at least once and perhaps you have too.
Picture that in your mind because you will set your body up to recall that shot and act in that motion. Then visualize exactly what you want the ball to do. Why do you think the pros stand behind the ball and line things up before they approach?
Then you line your body up according to the above. Keep your body in line, get comfortable, make sure your grip is solid, relax, and do your waggle. Keep this part consistent so your body knows what is going to happen (we did say this was a mental game didn't we?)
Once you've done all that, bring you club back in "one-piece" as they say. Let your arms break naturally shifting your weight to the back. Then in one motion with your head steady, bring the club down through the ball while shifting (not turning) your weight through the ball. Follow through, let your back shoulder bring your head up, and watch the beauty of your perfect golf swing.
Some additional tips to help you improve your golf game:
When putting, the best golf tips to score better include...
**Visualize the path your ball will travel so that it will go in the hole
**Read the green and take into account any dips that may cause your ball to change its direction. Then you can compensate with your aim.
**The putting swing is a smooth, pendulum-like action with no wrist break. You will swing with your shoulders and should always keep your head down.
**Be sure you put enough speed on the ball so that you will actually make it to the hole. There's nothing worse than coming up short on a putt. These lead to three putt disasters and can be very frustrating!
Putting is where you score and can certainly knock strokes off your game in a heart beat. We've all heard the saying you drive for show and putt for dough!
Anyhow this is just a start when it comes to mastering the game of golf. These are a few of our best golf tips to score better. Some other areas you'll need to touch on is working the ball, trouble shots, more on the mental aspects, physical fitness, and a handful of facets that make up the game of golf.
Trust me over time it becomes natural - like riding a bike, but it does take practice and some work to get better.
Visit us at Golf Made Simple if you're serious about improving your golf game and discovering how to master all facets of the game. Get inside tips from true experts who can show you instantly how to shave strokes off your scores instantly.

All Good Golfers Going From a Good Golfer to Great
What separates the good golfer from the great golfer? Why is it that the good golfer hits a bad shot and his game goes in the tank and the great golfer hits a bad shot and then goes on to play a fantastic game, completely unaffected by that one bad shot? What's the difference? The difference is simply the way each golfer plays the game in mentally.
The good golfer just can't let go of that bad shoot. He continues to play that bad shot over and over in his head hoping that he won't hit another. When the next shot is bad the golfer enters a downward spiral that destroys his game for that day and maybe longer.
The great golfer is unaffected by a bad shot. He lets the shot go after it has been hit. This golfer is focused only on the current shot. He blocks out everything except this one shot and believes that the shot he is about to take will be perfect. He has the mental edge that separates the great players from the merely good players. Are great golfers born with it? No. It's a learned skill. Great golfers have learned how to focus their attention and it's the skill that takes their game from merely good to great.
So how does a golfer learn this skill? The technique for learning how goes by various names such as guided visualization, sports psychology, or self-hypnosis. Whatever name is used the process is the same. The golfer first learns how to achieve a state of focused attention. Then while in this state of focused attention the golfer creates a trigger, a switch if you will, that recreates this focused state of mind on cue. After that it's simply a matter of practicing.
Because this ability is a learned skill, anyone can learn to do it. Any athlete in any sport can benefit from this. And it's not limited to sports. Salesmen, public speakers or anyone whose job is enhanced by their ability to operate at a level of peak performance can benefit from this skill.
What would happen if you learned this skill? How many shots could you drop each round if you could simply let go of a bad shot and continue to play to the best of your ability? Would you go from a 10 handicap to a 7 handicap, maybe from a 4 handicap to a scratch golfer or would you play consistently below par? Think about how much more fun each round will be when you are consistently able to play at the top of your game.
When you learn this skill you have the ability to clear your mind and focus on one thing and one thing only. This allows you to block out all distractions. You're not worrying about past shots, what the other players are doing or even errant sounds on the course. You're completely focused on this one shot.
As you focus your mind you are able to visualize the shot. You can see, even feel yourself taking the shot. If you need to make adjustments you do it mentally first, rehearse the perfect shot and then execute it. Jack Nicklaus once said that he never hit a shot that he had not first hit perfectly in his head. Look where that got him!
An there's an interesting side benefit of learning this process. You have the ability to practice and improve your game without leaving the comfort of your home. Once you learn to visualize your game in your mind, you can practice shots mentally sitting on your couch. Talk to great athletes and they will tell you that they use some form of this visualization process.
If you'd like to learn this skill and have the same mental edge as the top athletes, seek out someone who is experienced and knows how to guide you through the learning process. Contact your local hypnotist, sports psychologist or peak performance trainer. They can help you create the same mental edge that the greatest performers have in sports, business and in life.
